Frequently Asked Questions
I am thinking about having a stair lift installed. What do I need to do first?
Upon contacting Sun Stair Lifts, an appointment will be set up for a free in-home evaluation. This is a no obligation, no pressure first step. At that time you will be given all the options available to make an educated decision, or to see if we have a reconditioned stairlift that will fit your home.
What pricing options are available to me?
Straight stair lifts sell at two different price points.
New - under $3,000.00
Reconditioned - under $2,000.00
Once I decide, how long will it take to get my stairlift?
Installation can usually happen within 48 hours.
Are the stairlifts powered by electric or battery?
The stairlifts are powered by batteries. The batteries are continually being recharged by being plugged into a wall outlet.
What if the power goes out?
The batteries will hold a charge for several days. The stair lift will continue to work for 2 or 3 days without being plugged in.
What happens if it breaks down?
Sun Stairlifts has trained technicians that will provide any needed maintenance. No sub-contractors. Buy from us and deal with us.
Do you offer a warranty?
We offer the best warranty around. Not only is there two years on parts, but also on labor for new stair glides. We also offer a warranty on reconditioned stairlifts, one year on parts and labor.
